Delivering Seamless AV Integration

No expense was spared on the Audio Visual experience for guests. No less than 5 cinema systems and 23 integrated TV displays were specified throughout the yacht. HDBaseT™ was chosen as the video distribution platform and manufacturer Blustream provided their latest hardware to deliver a seamless 4K UHD experience to every display.

Bruno Vermeir of Blustream explains, ‘ The O’PTASIA project was amazing to be involved in. We have worked on several yacht installations with Blustream but never one of this size and complexity. Due to the number of displays and sources located throughout the craft, we had to work with the designers to create the CAT cable infrastructure and system configuration that would allow five 8x8 HDBaseT™ matrix to interact seamlessly on the same control system. Pleased to say the end result has been fantastic and feedback amazing!’.

Platinum 8 x 8 HDBaseT™ Matrix

The Blustream Platinum 8x8 HDBaseT™ matrix hosts a number of advanced features that make it perfect for a yacht installation of this size. The entire 26 display system works over a single CAT 6 cable infrastructure. HDBaseT™ technology enables the delivery of 4K Video, HD audio including Dolby Atmos, control and automation data, PoE and ethernet all over this single cable. The Platinum matrix also features advanced independent audio routing including audio return channel (ARC) integration from the displays. This enables the yacht to have independent audio sources located throughout the installation that can be routed to any of the 26 zones.

100m HDBaseT™ Receiver

The 26 displays on O’PTASIA are located up to 80m apart. The Blustream receivers connect directly to the CAT 6 cable infrastructure via RJ45 and require no power. The receiver features a HDMI output for connection to a display, an audio input, RS-232 and ethernet ports and an IR input / output.
