Blustream HDMI Distribution has appointed Evolution Home Entertainment Corp. as its exclusive Canadian distributor, effective immediately.
Founded in Melbourne, Australia, Blustream has developed a range of products to enhance the ability of AV products. As a standard, all Blustream products offer 4K resolution support and all HDBaseT solutions provide bi-directional power over Ethernet (PoE), ensuring the installer has flexibility when installing a multi-room video system.
Blustream also claims to be the first manufacturer to fully integrate the audio return channel (ARC) via HDMI into the HDBaseT signal. This, explains the firm, means installers using Blustream can confidently use TVs as audio sources within a multi-room system.
"We surveyed leading Canadian integrators and consistently heard that they enjoyed doing business with Evolution," says Martyn Shirley, General Manager and Founder at Blustream. "In a sense, they were democratically elected."
"Blustream has quickly established itself as the category-leader," adds Sal Riina, Presidentof Evolution. "We are proud to bring Blustream to Canadian integrators and dealers looking for the best answers to deliver reliable HDMI throughout their installs."
Evolution is launching Blustream with a four-city national training roadshow in August, featuring education on HDMI, HDBaseT, and IP Video distribution from Shirley himself. Each training sessions will run for two hours, and will cover topics including: an introduction to HDMI(HDMI signal and distribution, HDCP including new HDCP 2.2 - what you need to know, and EDID management); An introduction to HDBaseT(HDBaseT architecture, 5 Play, and HDBaseT best practices); and Blustream products, like extenders, matrix products, splitter and switcher products, audio products, and what's coming soon. Refreshments and lunch will be provided at each event, and there will be an opening order incentive for attendees.
The first sessions will take place in Vancouver on Wednesday, August 10, followed by Calgary on Thursday, August 11, and Montreal on Friday, August 12. There will be two training day options in Toronto, on Thursday, August 16 and Friday, August 17.
